Bhan Tai Restaurant
Bhan Thai is one of our favorite mid-town restuarants,
and it is always very busy because of it's great food. When
we refinish locations like this it is important to work
around the client's business schedule and have minimun or
no down time. By keeping the dust down and using fast dry
high traffic finishes from Bona Kemi, we were done refinishing
in just two days...and that includes a stain plus four coats
of Bona Kemi premium waterbase finish! For more information

Waterbase Finish - After
These finishes do not yellow over time like oil finishes
and have a considerably longer lifetime when it comes
to wear/traffic.

Waterlox Finish A
Tung oil is becoming more of a novelty with hardwood
floor refinishing. Tung oil is not considered just
a surface finish....it actually finds its way into
the wood and has a handrubbed,antique appearance.Tung
oil also feels different to the touch verses conventional
polyurethane. Its texture has been compared to hard
leather.

Steven Seagal House
It was an honor to be chosen to refinish Steven Seagal's
mansion. The main reasons for his choice was our reputation
as a great company and Mr. Seagal needed the the job done
with no dust or fumes from polyurethane. We were very happy
to have met his expectations perfectly.

Refinished Gluedown Floor A
Here is an example of a sawn faced 9/16" engineered
oak which was installed and refinished. This floor
is a great alternative to "pre-finished"
flooring in that it looks like a nail down oak floor
[or what people refer to commonly as REAL WOOD flooring]
but it is in fact glued down. This allows for a 'real
wood' floor that only rises 1/2 inch off the slab
or subfloor.

Refinished Gluedown Floor B
The floor is installed raw, then sanded just like
a nail down. Stain choices are custom and almost any
amount of variety can be made available, unlike the
four or five choices you get in a prefinished floor.
Sawn faced means the wood is cut down in the direction
of the tree itself, not rotary peeled [like a potato]
which is how most pre-finished oak floors are made
-- this causes a veneer, overly grainy look. Lastly,
sanded floors are flat like a nice table....not separate,
uneven and bevel edged like pre-finished flooring.

Herringbone Pattern
Herringbone installtion is an alternative to conventional
strip oak installation. The combination of different angles
and grain colors creates an interesting "3D" effect
accentuated by the light's reaction to the variations.
